We've come here three times now. Every time, we've found the food to be consistently delicious. I was pleasantly surprised because the taste felt authentic and homemade. The ambiance is nice and welcoming. You'll be greeted with a warm smile. I highly recommend it if you are looking to try authentic Indian dishes.

I had the Kappa (Tapioca) with Toddy style fish Curry and Kanthari Prawns, and they were absolutely delicious! The flavours were bold, authentic, and perfectly spiced, making it a treat for any spice lover. The staff were friendly and attentive, consistently checking in for feedback. If you’re looking to enjoy some excellent South or North Indian food, this is a must-try spot.

Authentic South Indian food especially Kerala traditional dishes. They have buffet too on some days. I have had south Indian food in Auckland and Christchurch as well but Malabar Magic, Dunedin is by far the best. Reasonable rates. Super tasty. Excellent value for money. Must visit.
